The rapid growth of housing associations especially GHA has meant that the organisation is currently at a very interesting stage of its own development and the housing market in Scotland is divided between big and small niche providers. There is a growing appetite in government that 'big' is bad and 'small' is good, rather then concentrating on the long term and what you want from a housing market.
The basic question is why have housing associations: Are they the best model for delivery of housing?
From GHA point of view , this is the starting point for any organisation to exist. GHA 's view is that their core business is Housing and Regeneration.
Size has become the debate here when the discussion should be getting back to basics and offering the best customer services.
